What this is

KundliSaar is a free app that computes a Vedic horoscope and presents what classical Jyotish texts say about the configurations it finds. It is cultural and traditional material. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial or investment advice, and it must not be used in place of a qualified professional.

What it will not tell you

The app refuses questions about death, illness, pregnancy, court cases and investments, and it does not predict exam results or tell anyone whether to marry. Where a classical reading is traditionally delivered as a warning, the app gives the rule and the cancellation the texts also give, because a dosha is a configuration and not a verdict on a person.

Accuracy

Planetary positions are computed to about an arc-second against the public-domain JPL DE440s ephemeris between 1900 and 2070, and the test suite holds them there. Everything built on top — dignities, yogas, dashas, panchang timings, festival dates — follows classical rules that differ between schools and regions, so another panchang or another astrologer may legitimately differ. Birth time matters: a few minutes can move the lagna and every house with it.

Price and licence

The app is free, with no advertising, no subscription and nothing to buy inside it. The source is MIT licensed and public. Place data comes from GeoNames under CC BY 4.0, time zones from the IANA database, and the fonts under the SIL Open Font License.

No warranty

The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, as set out in the MIT licence. You use the readings at your own discretion, and decisions you take remain yours.
